Kotoka was registered as a variety in 2011. Its background goes back to 1989, when selection for a new Nara strawberry began. From thousands of candidates, the fruit was chosen for flavor, color, and aroma. 古都華は、2011年に品種登録された奈良生まれのいちごです。1989年から続く選抜の中で、味、色、香りのよさを基準に選ばれてきました。

Kotoka no Shizuku is made with Nara-grown Kotoka and Japanese cane sugar, finished at around 38° Brix for a balanced confiture.奈良県産古都華と国産きび砂糖で仕立てたコンフィチュールです。糖度は38度前後。甘み、酸味、香りのバランスを大切にしています。
